For the record, a Jammie Dodger is a rather bland shortbread cookie with seriously firm fruit filling, think a Fruit Roll Up melted to hold 2 almost stale Lorna Doone’s or Girl Scouts Trefoils together.
Would go well with tea! Not the thing to consume a whole package of in a fit of feelings :)
THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR BISCUITS WITH ME, ureshiiichigo, for SCIENCE!!!
Look what I found…
Hey look, a picture of me on the internets!
In addition to the Jammie Dodgers, I also brought a box of PG Tips with me to the con, since I have never seen them for sale in the US. However, I never got a chance to distribute them, so the box remains unopened. Here’s hoping I like PG Tips (the box contains 80 tea bags).
I would consider buying Tim Tams in bulk in order to spread the glory of the Tim Tam Slam, but considering the rate I go through Tim Tams they wouldn’t last long enough to survive a con trip. They’d all go in my tummy instead.
If you don’t like the PG Tips, I’ll paypal you some dollars and take them off your hands! Also Tim Tams! We should plan a food exchange next year. Beautifulfic and I were talking about this earlier ;)
(updated the post and tags so you are not nonny anymore!)
TRUE STORY: If you happen to live in Ohio, where there are Marc’s grocery stores, they often have PG Tips. World Market’ll usually have some too! (Those are all over the place)

Time for the next round of Fandom Tea Blends Giveaways! This week’s tea blend was hard to pick, but I just couldn’t resist doing Sherlock’s any longer *w*! Read below for more reviews/information on the tea, and how to win your own bag of it, as well as an ingenuiTEA tea pot!
THE SHERLOCK BLEND: All at once exotic and mysterious and perhaps a little bit insane, with a lingering hint of smoke. (lapsang souchong, assam melody, oriental spice)
MY REVIEW OF IT: “It smells amazing. I wanted to stick my whole head in the bag. I was actually afraid I had overdone it with the Oriental Spice tea since that’s pretty much all I could smell in the bag. However, once I brewed it, BAM! So smokey. Definitely a very smokey tea, but not nearly as strong as a Lapsang by itself, and once the smokey taste fades you really start to taste the spice again. It’s awesome. I tried it first without adding anything, but there are very few teas I can drink plain. I added a splash of milk and a spoonful of sugar and it was perfect *w*”
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:
- “Dark, smoky, and spicy is the best way to describe this tea. It smells extremely smoky in the bag (almost reminiscent of barbecue sauce), but it mellows out a bit when steeped. You can definitely taste the smoke, but it is balanced nicely by the spice.”-Michelle T.
- “Best of these blends I’ve tried so far. If there’s one tea that can stand up to a spices, Lapsang Souchong is probably it. The assam melody likely bolsters it as well, and seems to have helped with what usually throws off people I try to introduce to Lapsang: they smell it, and it reminds them of barbecue sauce—not a problem with this blend. It’s perfect: dark, smooth, smoky, and all of those other lovely things, with not-overpowering spice. Perfection.”-Katrina W.
- ” This is actually a really warming blend, in my opinion. The smokey aroma reminds me of a dimly lit room and a cigar or cigarette and the warm and spicy flavor soothe me to my core.”-Alicia B.
- “Dark, spicy and sensually smoky. I was hesitant at first, but after a spoonful of sugar, I melted right in.”-Abigail L.
- “It’s difficult to describe. A hint of…danger? I sound silly, but it really is an intriguing blend. Like you have to drink more to figure it out. All in all, a perfect blend for Sherlock.“-Kayla B.

THE MYCROFT BLEND: No brother, I have not been eating more cake. I’ve been drinking it. (chocolate chip, rooibos vanilla chai, cream)
MY REVIEW OF IT: “The smell of this tea in the bag reminds me strongly of Pfeffernusse, those German Pepper cookies you get at Christmas. Mostly spice, but coated with chocolate on the bottom. Sweet, wonderful nostalgia. I could cry. And oh my god it even tastes like that brewed up. I’m sort of amazed right now. I was trying to blend a tea that would be reminiscent of a piece of chocolate cake but I’m so happy with what I got. The tea is a little bit bitter on it’s own, but again, it reminds me of spice cookies. The chocolate taste is really nice and mellow, but the spices aren’t too strong either. It all just works really well together. I actually like it just fine on it’s own, but adding a little cream and sugar makes this tea feel decadent. Definitely a Mycroft tea.”
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:
- “A very smooth and sweet taste which makes it a good tea to have in the evening with dessert. Smells amazing and goes well with a little milk and sugar.”-Holly C.
- “This tea really does taste like I’m drinking a cake, whether or not sweetener is added. It’s a wonderful chai blend.”-Yulia S.
- ” This is…MOTHER OF GOD. Once you go Mycroft, you cannot go back apparently. I literally drink four cups a night while working on my thesis. Just….fabulous. It’s perfectly toasty and lightly sweet and best done with just a splash of cream.”-Beth P.
- “This blend smells, tastes and feels decadent and amazing. The mix of chocolate and vanilla chai makes it a lovely dessert tea. A perfect representation of Mycroft Holmes as a character.”-Arizona D.
- “This blend smells amazing. I seriously wanted to stick my whole face in the bag. It has a light vanilla/chai flavor that goes very well with a bit of cream.“-Nikki N.
